If you are returning to Be The Neighbor, you may notice that you don’t see sites labeled as Connect or Reach trips. When Be The Neighbor began in 2022, it was a uniting of Reach Beyond Mission and Connect Ministries. To keep the unique flavor of those two ministries alive, we continued with Reach and Connect trips for the last four years. Over time, we noticed that the distinctions between the two trips were starting to fade. This year, we have let go of those labels, and every trip will combine the best of both models!

That means groups can expect hands-on service each day, immersion learning experiences, and opportunities for advocacy. You’ll also engage with the Be The Neighbor curriculum designed to help you connect what you’re learning to your life back home, and be given a discussion guide to help your group dig deeper into the justice issue you’re exploring and its connection to our faith.
