  • July 14 - 19: FILLED
  • July 21 - 26: FILLED

In Bentonville, Arkansas, a city known for being the Southern hub for the arts and outdoors, and for being the headquarters of Walmart, groups will learn more about how to work for economic justice so that all of our neighbors can thrive.   On this trip you will learn what the bible teaches about economic justice, fair trade, the high cost of low cost goods, gentrification and affordable housing, living wages and income inequality. You'll learn how our immigrant and refugee neighbors are essential to our community and the functioning of our economy, but are not treated with dignity or paid accordingly. Your group will end the week with greater understanding of the root causes of income inequality in your own community and why it matters to us as people of faith. You'll go home with ideas about how to be part of the solution for economic justice for all through service, justice and advocacy.  Each day will include hands-on service and justice work, learning from local advocates and educators, scripture and reflection, and a time to plan ways to connect what we are doing to your own community back home.

We will work with and learn from organizations like: Clothed with Compassion, Samaritan Center, New Beginnings Transitional Housing, Canopy, NWA Food Bank, local advocacy leaders and more! Your group will stay at First Christian Church Bentonville’s Waterway campus

Programming begins on Sunday evening and concludes on Friday morning. You may stay an additional night to see the city for an additional $10 per person. (Check out is by 10 am on Saturday morning.)

Cost is $375 per participant and includes:
